In yet another case of superstition taking precedence over medical science and commonsense, a 19-year-old woman died in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.
The deceased, identified as Tharani, died at Uchipuli Primary Health Care Center on Wednesday.
She had injuries on her neck and back, police said.
Upon investigation, it was found that Tharani s father Veera Selvam was extremely superstitious and had taken his sick daughter to a tantric believing she was possessed, instead of taking her to a hospital. ....
