Killer dad John Edwards begged a gun club to fast track his membership in the spirit of Xmas as he sought a licence for the weapon he would later use to shoot dead his two children.

The 67-year-old killed himself at his rented home near Normanhurst on the night of the murders. Five months later, the mother of the children, Olga, took her own life.
The retired financial planner, who had a history of domestic violence, approached the Ku-ring-gai Pistol Club in December 2016, NCA NewsWire reported.
