West Suffolk Council s development control committee on Wednesday refused the proposals by LNT Care Developments, which would have seen the land and gardens of Boyton Hall off Ann Suckling Road in Little Wratting developed for a care home and car park. A host of concerns were raised, including the number of car park spaces, the size of the care home, overlooking onto neighbouring homes, impact on the appearance and character of the area and highways safety. ....

Ian Sheppard, managing director NI, Bank of Ireland UK, explained, “Technology is evolving and changing the way we live and manage our lives and that includes the way our customers, increasingly, choose to bank with us. Fewer customers are using branches and that trend is growing year on year on year. The number of branch visits is now just half of what they were in 2017 and footfall at the branches which are closing is down by nearly 70 per-cent since 2017. ....
