The titles were two of the eight shuttered by Bauer last July, after the Pacific Magazines acquisition and consequent sale to Mercury Capital, but before the rebrand to Are Media. At the end of last year, Paragon announced it would relaunch the brands, complete with their former editors Jacqui Mooney and Scott Henderson. The websites – www.womenshealth.com.au and www.menshealth.com.au – are live, and the first print issues of Women’s Health and Men’s Health hit supermarkets and newsagents today, with a cover price of $7.80 and $9.50, respectively. ....

Criminal defence attorney Ian Brooks said a man who was arrested in relation to the disappearance of court clerk Andrea Bharatt was able to secure bail after multiple charges owing to the inaction of the police. Brooks, who represented the same man years ago, responded on Wednesday to critics of the judiciary saying the failure of police investigators to submit evidence in a timely manner and attend court hearings led to the man being released. He was granted bail as a result of the dismissal of the matters and the police not being ready in their matters for over four to 12 years in some matters. ....
Thursday 4 February 2021 AT least 35 cases were dismissed against one of the suspects in the abduction of 22-year-old Andrea Bharatt because police failed to appear in court, his former attorney is claiming. Bharatt was abducted on January 29 after she got into a fake taxi to take her to her Arima home. Police, Defence Force, hunters and hikers have been searching the Sangre Grande forests looking for the court clerk. Two rewards totalling $75,000 have been offered for information leading to her return. On Tuesday the Express reported that the 36-year-old had 70 pending charges. a claim that lawyer Ian Brooks, in an attorneys WhatsApp group chat, sought to correct. ....
