BERNAMA news agency: Almost three decades, a long wait for justice for Khojaly victims

The Malaysian National News Agency BERNAMA has published an article commemorating the 29th anniversary of Khojaly genocide headlined “Almost three decades, a long wait for justice for Khojaly victims”.
Written by Rachminakan Ravichandran, the article provides an insight into the history of genocide committed by Armenians on the night of February 26, 1992, as well as analyses the social and political aspects of the tragedy.

Q 1. Turkey is at forefront of different causes and issues facing the Ummah including Kashmir. What are your views on the global conflict resolution standards and mechanism and handling of unresolved issues like Kashmir and Palestine?
Ans : The worsening nature of conflicts across the world is alarming. Around 2 billion people currently live in countries affected by conflicts. However, some nations and geographies suffer even more, particularly the Islamic world. In fact, around 60 % of conflicts take place within the OIC. Recent developments in the Caucasus confirm that terms such as “frozen” or “protracted” conflicts are misnomers.
A conflict is a conflict and it can escalate at any moment. Leaving it unresolved, poses threats to human security, has socio-economic costs and holds parties back from realizing their full potential. ....

JEDDAH, 17th December, 2020 (WAM) The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen affirmed that the Member States of OIC, through their national and regional institutions, have started publicising the Makkah Al-Mukarramah document, which was already signed by over 1200 prominent Muslim scholars from 139 countries and 27 Muslim schools of thought.
He pointed out that the document brings to the fore the values of tolerance and mutual understanding between peoples of different cultural and religious backgrounds, as equally recognised by the Charter of OIC.
Othaimeen pointed out that the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in its 47th session (Niamey, 2020) underlined the importance of the principles and values the document embodies which were endorsed by the Community of Muslim Scholars at the Muslim World League Conference held under the the ....
