ITALIA - Quello che vediamo è che la variante Delta del coronavirus può infettare anche i vaccinati e aumenta così la frazione degli asintomatici; in quelli che hanno fatto una singola dose può creare malattia grave; in quelli che hanno fatto due dosi, se hanno superato i 7-8 mesi dalla vaccinazione e sono persone fragili e anziane, può causare malattia grave .

A sottolinearlo all Adnkronos Salute è il virologo Andrea Crisanti, direttore del Dipartimento di medicina molecolare dell università di Padova, parlando del dibattito in corso sulla terza dose del vaccino contro il coronavirus. Per questo per i fragili andrebbe valutata l opportunità della terza dose di vaccino Covid-19. Tuttavia, bisognerebbe vedere anche qui se c è qualche dato, qualcosa che ci dia un po di conforto , aggiunge. Un dibattito acceso da alcuni dati diffusi da Pfizer in relazione proprio alla variante Delta, secondo cui il terzo richiamo aumenterebbe i livelli di anticorpi neutralizz ....
