Feb 15, 2021 Arnie Johnson, of Erie P.A., passed into his heavenly home on Feb. 9, 2021. He was born in Jamestown N.Y. in Sept. of 1929, the son of the late Carl and Anna (Bergren) Johnson. Arnie was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He put the “Gentle” in Gentleman and was a true friend in every sense. Arn graduated in 1947 from Jamestown High School. He served with the Army National Guard for seven years. His interest and training in the field of drafting and engineering led him into the design of office furniture. Arnie cofounded BECO Interiors in Jamestown. When the company expanded to Erie, he and his wife Carol became coowners. With their efforts the company grew in the field of office product and design, later expanding into nursing home design in both the Erie and Pittsburgh markets.
