US Army allows first ever CHRISTIAN soldier to keep beard and long hair


US Army grants first ever religious exemption to a Christian soldier to allow him to his keep beard and grow hair long
Sgt. Jacob DiPietro is thought to be the first Christian in the US Army to receive a religious exemption to grow his hair and beard out
He is a follower of the Nazerite vow, which says  no razor may be used on their head and forbids alcohol consumption
DiPietro joined the Army in 2010, but didn t seek to pursue his faith until 2017
In 2019 he applied for the exemption, but it languished in bureaucracy for two years
Sikh, Muslim and even a Norse Pagan service member have received religious hair exemptions in recent years ....

Former Army captain who worked with Vanessa Guillen criticizes Army investigations


A former Fort Hood Army captain is going on the record to criticize the way the investigations into the death of Spc. Vanessa Guillen were conducted.
Alex Cook, the former executive officer for the Headquarters Troop, Regimental Engineer Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, was one of the last people to see Guillen alive before she went missing April 22, 2020. Although Guillen was in a different troop from his in the same squadron, she was the only qualified small equipment repairer in the squadron and was often called to different troops to repair equipment such as night vision goggles or the optics used on rifles. ....

Trump targeted the general following recent reports that Milley looked to prevent Trump from staging a coup after losing the 2020 election. Trump said he had lost total confidence in Milley during his presidency, claiming Milley choked like a dog under scrutiny.
Austin’s backing: “I’ve known the chairman for a long time. We’ve fought together, we’ve served a couple of times in the same unit, so I’m not guessing at his character. He doesn’t have a political bone in his body,” Austin told reporters at the Pentagon on Wednesday.
