Met officers given misconduct notices over disappearance of Richard Okorogheye

“The serving of misconduct notices does not mean that disciplinary proceedings will follow.”
The IOPC said in April it was investigating complaints by Okorogheye’s mother, Evidence Joel, about the way the Met handled reports that her son was missing.
The first-year business and IT undergraduate at Oxford Brookes University was reported missing by his mother on 23 March. She made further calls to the Met the following day.
During a meeting with IOPC investigators, Joel said she wished to complain about the way in which she was initially treated by the police and how her reports about the disappearance of her son were handled. ....

Two Metropolitan police officers are under investigation for allegedly sharing CCTV of the moment a father was shot in the head in Wembley.
Craig Small, 32, was shot outside a shop in Harrow Road on July 5 2019. He was rushed to a north London hospital but he died a short while later.
The moment was caught on the CCTV of a nearby fast food outlet.
The horrifying footage shows Mr Small being shot in the head, and again once he had fallen to the ground.
The filmed footage was shared on social media and seen by members of Mr Small s devastated family. ....

Two Metropolitan police officers are under criminal investigation for allegedly filming and sharing CCTV evidence of the moment a man was murdered, the Guardian has learned.
Carol Campbell said that the video of the murder of her son, Craig Small, being uploaded to social media has compounded her trauma.
