Utqiagvik residents arrested for drug trafficking

Two Utqiagvik residents were arrested last week after federal, state and local agents intercepted a suspicious parcel at the Anchorage airport and found it contained fentanyl pills valued at approximately $20,000.
U.S. Postal inspectors identified the package in transit to Utqiagvik from Arizona on Jan. 12 and found it to contain 200 M30 fentanyl pills, which officials say sell in the northern community for approximately $100 a piece
With the assistance of the North Slope Borough Police Department, 41-year-old Utqiagvik resident Bryon McFadden and 30-year-old Utqiagvik resident Roberta Sielak were arrested on Jan. 15 by members of the Alaska State Troopers statewide drug enforcement unit, the Anchorage Airport Interdiction Team, the U.S. Postal Inspectors, Drug Enforcement Administration agents, and Homeland Security Investigations agents, who traveled to Utqiagvik aboard a U.S. Coast Gu ....
