Weekend Mailbag: Jim Wyatt Answers Questions From Titans Fans

And I hope everyone is doing well in Titans Land.
The draft remains a popular topic, so we re going to keep tackling questions on that and more in this weekend s mailbag.
Let s go…
Omar Parker from Bay Area, California
Question: Hey Jim. Another post draft email lol. So here s my 1 and half cents, I m mostly in agreement with all the draft experts opinion we had a good draft but I was not happy at first. I was ok with the Farley pick, fingers crossed it turns out like Big Jeff and we have a future Pro Bowler. Was not happy with another tackle in the 2nd. I think it s just leftover bad feelings from the Wilson disaster and would have preferred a WR (I was actually hoping we would trade up because man I wanted us to draft Elijah Moore soooooo bad, he is gonna wreck things in the league I think) but the Molden pick turned it around for me as I was extremely happy and think we got a steal. I was ok with the rest of our picks even though like everyone else the Rice ....

Tennessee lawmakers to consider reducing eligibility time for unemployment benefits

(The Center Square) – A bill that would change how long Tennesseans can receive unemployment benefits is scheduled to be discussed Wednesday in a House subcommittee.
House Bill 1039, sponsored by Rep. Kevin Vaughan, R-Collierville, would reduce the number of weeks that eligible unemployed workers can receive benefits from 26 weeks to 12 weeks.
“The notion of us, week in and week out, just paying unemployment when there are jobs readily available from one end of the state to the other is really bad government,” said Rep. Jeremy Faison, R-Cosby. “And we’re encouraging people to sit still instead of being productive.”
“I mean this is some real Ebenezer Scrooge type of stuff here,” Sen. Jeff Yarbro, D-Nashville, told Fox 17 News. ....

Last year, more than 43,400 politicians in Brazil declared themselves to be a different race than in previous election years.
Since 2014, Brazil has required electoral candidates to declare their color/race, picking from among Black, White, Brown, Yellow, and Indigenous. A CNN analysis of data published by the Electoral Justice, which organizes elections, shows that one in four candidates who ran for office in a previous election declared a different color/race in 2020 from previous such filings.
The changes in politicians self-identification reflect Brazil s rich diversity and mirror the country s evolving view on how to recognize and define demographic categories throughout its history. They also coincide with a new electoral rule that directs additional funding and visibility to Black and Brown candidates campaigns. ....
