(JANSEN ROMERO / FILE PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) Angat Dam’s water level has already reached 216.13 meters, more than 4 meters above its 212.0-meter spilling level as of 1 p.m., based on the monitoring of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). One spillway gate of Angat Dam was initially opened Monday morning, discharging 289 cubic meters of water. By afternoon, two additional gates were opened, discharging a total of 521 cubic meters per second. Most of the water discharged from Angat Dam flows into the Ipo Dam, which has a current water level of 100.38 meters. The spilling level is 101.0 meters. Ipo Dam also opened four gates Monday noon with a total discharge of 320 cubic meters. ....
