The call, from Wrexham Town Inspector Luke Hughes, comes after thefts in the town. Insp Hughes said: We are currently investigating a small number of thefts in the area of Percy Road [and] Bennion Road. These have included opportunist theft of milk and outbuildings being targeted with power tools and gardening equipment stolen. We believe two males are responsible having been spotted on CCTV at around 5am. Please report any suspicious behaviour you witness, regardless of the time of day. The man, who is in his 20s, was attacked by a gunman after a masked gang broke into a house at Meenan Square at about 22:30 BST on Tuesday. Officers who were called to the scene were attacked by a small crowd who threw a firework and petrol bombs, police said. Det Insp Hughes said the shooting was a violent and appalling attack . SEVERAL drivers in Wrexham have caught the attention of police in a string of incidents since the start of the month. Wrexham Town’s Inspector Luke Hughes told the Leader about the recent spate of vehicle-related incidents in the area. On Tuesday, March 2, police spotted a Seat Leon travelling through the town centre at 11:30pm and officers believed it looked ‘out of place’, said Insp Hughes. When indicated to stop the vehicle made off and travelled along Fairy Road before crossing the roundabout onto Victoria Road where it crashed into a parked vehicle. The driver, aged 19, was arrested at the location and the vehicle found to have been stolen a few hours previous, but was yet to be reported as the keeper had not noticed it missing. ....
