Sensex up 89 pts intraday, Nifty breaches 15,800 June 09, 2021 After opening on a positive note, the market remained firm The market rebounded sharply on Wednesday with benchmark indices trading marginally higher during the afternoon, led by power and PSU stocks. After opening on a positive note, the market remained firm, led by heavyweights such as SBI and HDFC. At 1 pm, the BSE Sensex was at 52,364.85, up 89.28 points or 0.17 per cent. It hit an intraday high of 52,446.92 and a low of 52,204.99. Nifty 50, which breached the 15,800 level with a fresh all-time high of 15,800.45, was ruling at 15,778.15, up 38.05 points or 0.24 per cent. It hit an intra-day low of 15,723.10.

May 27, 2021 IT, PSU bank stocks shine Benchmark indices closed in the green on Thursday. However, despite today being the expiry day for May contracts in the derivatives segment on the NSE, the market remained range-bound through the day.  The BSE Sensex, which hovered between 51,282.90 and 50,891.66, closed at 51,115.22, up 97.70 points or 0.19 per cent. Nifty 50 closed at 15,337.85, up 36.40 points or 0.24 per cent. The index hit a high of 15,384.55 and a low of 15,272.5 during the day. The breadth of the market remained positive, with 1,753 stocks advancing, 1,379 declining and 141 remaining unchanged on the BSE. As many as 483 securities hit the upper circuit and 189 the lower circuit; 365 hit their 52-week high while 28 touched a 52-week low.

May 03, 2021 Nifty trading below 14,600-level Benchmark indices, though off the day’s low, were in the red on Monday afternoon, dragged by banking and financials. Market opened on a negative note, after BJP’s defeat in West Bengal assembly elections. Concerns related to the Covid-19 situation continue to impact the investor sentiment. The BSE Sensex after hitting day s low at 48,028.37 in the opening session is currently ruling at 48,539.72, down 242.64 or 0.50 per cent. It hit an intra-day high of 48,613.29. The Nifty 50 was at 14,572.05, down 59.05 or 0.4 per cent. It hit an intra-day high of 14,594.40 and an intra-day low of 14,416.25. Adani Ports, SBI Life, Maruti, Hindustan Unilever and Bajaj Auto were the top gainers on Nifty 50 while Titan, Axis Bank, Reliance, IndusInd Bank and State Bank of India were the top losers.
