Indiana officially signs Northwestern transfer Kopp DYLAN SINN | The Journal Gazette Indiana s roster is full. The Hoosiers today officially announced the signing of Northwestern transfer Miller Kopp, a 6-foot-7 wing who will have two years of eligibility remaining after being a two-year starter and three-year contributor with the Wildcats. He committed to play for the Hoosiers last week. Kopp is Indiana s 13th scholarship player, putting IU at the NCAA limit. “Miller is a veteran player with three seasons of experience . in the Big Ten.” Indiana coach Mike Woodson said in a statement. “He is a tremendous shooter from long range who will really help us become more versatile with his ability to stretch the floor. He also is an outstanding free throw shooter who will come in and have an immediate impact.” ....
The initial whirlwind is over, and a little over three weeks after the hiring of Mike Woodson as head coach, Indiana has what appears to be a final sense of the personnel it will bring in to the 2021-22 season. The Hoosiers have their full assistant coaching staff in place, a number of off-the-floor positions filled and a new behind-the-scenes heavy hitter in Thad Matta, the long-time Ohio State head coach who is now the associate athletic director for basketball administration. Of the seven players who entered the transfer portal, they kept four and lost three. They added two outside players from the portal and added an incoming freshman to the 2021 class. ....

There s been a lot of movement over the last few days, including this morning s announcement that Northwestern shooter Miller Kopp is transferring within the conference to Indiana. This week, I ll be going over where each Big Ten program s roster stands in alphabetical order, and I ll rank each team s current outlook at the end. Here are some important dates to keep in mind as players make decisions about their future: ....
The move to Columbus reunites Brunk with his former Butler head coach Chris Holtmann. Brunk committed to Butler in 2015 when Holtmann was the head coach at the Indianapolis based school. Holtmann left Butler for Ohio State in 2017 when Thad Matta stepped down. Matta is now on the basketball administrative staff at IU. The 6-foot-11 Brunk did not participate in Indiana’s senior day and was widely expected at the time to return to Bloomington after a back injury and subsequent surgery cost him the entire 2020-21 season. But Brunk announced earlier this week that he would be pursuing his sixth season elsewhere. ....
Armaan Franklin transfers to Virginia DYLAN SINN | The Journal Gazette The final domino has fallen on Indiana s group in the transfer portal and this one did not go the Hoosiers way. Sophomore guard Armaan Franklin, widely considered the best guard remaining in the transfer portal, announced tonight that he will leave Indiana after two seasons and transfer to Virginia. Excited about the next chapter in my hoops life, Franklin said in his announcement, posted on social media. Still, have to say a big thanks to the IU community, fans and my teammates for all their support. Know that I appreciate you all so much! ....
