Ayodhya, Dec 17 : On the 71st anniversary of India as a Republic, the foundation will be laid for the much-awaited mosque in Ayodhya on the five acres of land mandated by Supreme Court following the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid final verdict.
The blueprint for the mosque will be unveiled on Saturday. It will be a round-shaped structure.
The masjid will come up, 20km away from the Ram Janmabhoomi site, at Dhannipur village, exactly six months after the Sunni Waqf Board constituted the mosque trust Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation. ....

AYODHYA: The foundation of the Ayodhya mosque complex will be laid on January 26 next year the 71st Republic Day at Dhannipur village, 20km off the existing Ram Janmabhoomi complex. The mosque is coming up over five acre land given to the UP Sunni Waqf Board as per the directives of the Supreme Court in its November 2019 judgment.
The foundation would be laid exactly six months after the Sunni waqf board set up a trust Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation for the construction. “The Trust chose January 26, 2021, for laying the foundation of the Ayodhya mosque as on this day our Constitution came into effect more than seven decades ago. Our Constitution is based on pluralism, which is the leitmotif of our mosque project,” said Athar Hussain, secretary of Indo- Islamic Cultural Foundation. ....

New Delhi/ Ayodhya: Over a year after the Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Temple, the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board (UPSCWB) is mulling to lay the foundation stone of the mosque on the Republic Day. The mosque will be constructed on a five-acre plot allotted to the board in Dhannipur village in Ayodhya. The board is expected to hold a press conference on December 19 to make a formal announcement in this regard. ....
