NGO was only helping me to find my daughter, says Indira Gandhi


IPOH: Kindergarten teacher M. Indira Gandhi has defended the non-governmental organisation that was assisting her in her search for her still missing daughter.
Indira Gandhi said the NGO, Indira Gandhi Action Team (Ingat), was only helping her to deal with the police.
The matter is related to my daughter. It is my right to ask about her.
The NGO was only helping me, she said on Friday (April 30).
There were times that the NGO was willing to assist the police. That was why it was formed, she added.
Outgoing IGP Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador had said that an NGO has hampered efforts to reunite Indira Gandhi with Prasana Diksa, who was taken away by her father Muhammad Riduan in 2011. ....

IPOH, Dec 17 The High Court here today ordered the police to submit an affidavit detailing their efforts since 2014 to arrest M. Indira Gandhi’s ex-husband Muhammad Riduan Abdullah and recover her youngest daughter Prasana Diksa, her lawyers said.
Judicial Commissioner Bhupindar Singh gave the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC), which represented the police, three weeks to file the affidavit. ....
