MARTINSVILLE, Ind., April 16, 2021 /PRNewswire/  Pinnacle Treatment Centers, a leader in providing accessible, affordable treatment for individuals struggling with substance abuse, broke ground last week on a comprehensive treatment campus and recovery community in Martinsville, Indiana.
Phase One on the 9.25-acre parcel on Grand Valley Boulevard is a 64-bed drug and alcohol addiction residential treatment center.
Construction for Recovery Works in Martinsville, Indiana, is now underway. Ground was broken last week by Pinnacle Treatment Centers and others on the addiction treatment and recovery campus, which will serve Hoosiers struggling with substance abuse. ....

Before the coronavirus vaccine will be made available to the general public, there s another group expected to get access: persons working or living in jails and prisons. 
In the state s vaccination plan draft, prison and jails, along with other congregate settings such as homeless shelters, would receive doses in Phase 2. 
In Phase 3, the vaccination can be distributed to the general public. 
The state started administering the vaccine on Monday when six health care workers in Fort Wayne received their first doses. Fifty hospitals and clinics expected to receive 55,575 Pfizer vaccine doses by Friday. An estimated 400,000 health care workers statewide are eligible for the first round of vaccines.  ....

Recovery Works expansion will allow Hoosiers charged with or convicted of misdemeanors to receive services


The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) announced December 15, 2020, that its Recovery Works program will expand to serve Hoosiers charged with or convicted of misdemeanor offenders.
Recovery Works was established in 2015 as voucher-based system to support partnerships between the criminal justice system and mental health and addiction treatment providers to reduce recidivism and encourage recovery. To date the program has only been available to someone facing a felony charge or with a prior felony conviction. Recovery Works has now developed a pilot program targeting the needs of individuals charged with a misdemeanor crime to help address the gap in mental health and substance use treatment resources for this specific group and to provide access to the necessary treatment at an approved treatment provider. ....
