Srinagar: A major tragedy was averted when an Indigo flight heading to take off for Delhi got stuck in snow accumulated adjacent to the taxi-way at Srinagar airport n Wednesday.
IndiGo flight 6E 2559 flight was held back at Srinagar after it came in close contact with the snow accumulated adjacent to the taxi-way. The brand new A321neo plane VT-IUZ had joined the airline s fleet last month and was scheduled to take off from Srinagar to Delhi when the incident took place.

A Delhi-bound IndiGo plane hit a snow mound at Srinagar airport, following which the flight was held back. The latest reports suggested that all passengers were safe.Â
The airline said it has held the aircraft at the Srinagar airport for further inspections, and an alternative flight was arranged to Delhi to accommodate all the affected passengers.
