AMESBURY – When Connor Mulholland graduated from Whittier Technical High School in 2012, he had just wrapped up learning the ins and outs of HVAC. However, his love of water would pull him down a very different career path.
“I always liked the water,” said Mulholland, a Merrimac native now living in Newburyport. “It was a love in fact, and so after High School I worked at a surf shop for a few years.”
That line of work exposed him to the art of surf and paddle board maintenance and repair. ....

When Connor Mulholland

the frigid Atlantic Ocean at the end of each day, he takes a deep breath, calms his mind, and
remembers the many friends that he’s lost to addiction over the years.
“I’m thinking about what they went through, and what was going through their minds,” he said. “It’s cleansing in more ways than one, and this whole thing has really helped with my grieving process.” ....
