Two vacancies on the Third Judicial Circuit have been filled. Angela Donohoo of Bethalto and Ronald Motil of Maryville were recently approved by the Circuit Judges of the district as new associate judges serving Madison and Bond Counties. The vacancies were created upon the election of former Associate Judge Steve Stobbs to the circuit bench and the resignation of Associate Judge John Julian.
Donohoo has been practicing law for 18 years in her own practice, Levo-Donohoo, in Troy. She is a past president of the Madison County Bar Association, is a board member of Hope Rescues and is a former president of the Board of the Metro East Humane Society. Motil is a longtime attorney in the county and is also a past president of the Madison County Bar Association, as well as the Tri-City Bar Association. EDWARDSVILLE William Mudge, Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit of Illinois, has given notice of two associate judge vacancies.
The vacancies exist because of the election of Associate Judge Stephen A. Stobbs to the circuit court and the resignation of Associate Judge John B. Julian, both which took effective Dec. 7.
Applications are being taken from any U.S. citizen who is an attorney licensed to practice law in Illinois and a resident of the Third Judicial Circuit of Madison and Bond counties.
The applicatiuon for appointment to the office of associate judge was revised Sept. 17, 2019, and only applications on the revised form will be accepted.
