Please see the following information issued by the GAA on Tuesday May 11th to Counties and Clubs concerning the latest lifting of COVID restrictions.

Information for Clubs
Adult and Underage Training: From Monday, May 10th, both adult and underage training are permitted on a full contact basis in pods of 15 for all Gaelic Games teams in the 26 Counties. Games (including challenge games) will not be permitted until June 7th.
In the 6 Counties, full contact training for panels is permitted without any reference to pods; games are also currently permitted.
GAA Injury Benefit Fund cover remains in place until May 31st, 2021 based on 2020 team registrations as previously communicated. Details on the 2021 GAA Injury Benefit Fund cover/registration will issue in due course. ....

Minors & U20s get green light for full-contact training

The GAA has confirmed that inter-county senior challenge matches can proceed from tonight.
An earlier date of 10 May had been conveyed but the GAA issued an update this evening confirming this date had been brought forward to 5 May.
Earlier, inter-county minor and under-20 teams received a huge boost with the news that full-contact training can begin from next Monday, 10 May. Games in these cohorts will be permitted from 7 June.
In the coming days, the Central Competitions Control Commitee (CCCC) will also publish a schedule for both the completion of 2020 competitions and dates for 2021 inter-county competitions at the respective levels.
On Tuesday, the Government provided clarity on this area to the GAA, Ladies Gaelic Football Association and Camogie Association. ....

The Allianz Leagues return on 8 May.
The GAA are awaiting clarification from the Government about whether or not inter-county challenge games would be allowed following the latest easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
There was good news for the Association in Thursday’s announcement by Taoiseach Micheál Martin with adult club training permitted from 10 May, while games behind closed doors may take place from 7 June.
However, there were no mentions of when challenges between inter-county teams will be allowed.
Counties were hoping to play warm-up games in preparation for the start of the Allianz Leagues early next month. ....

I know you will be aware by now of the positive announcement by the Irish Government yesterday in relation to the further relaxing of restrictions for society generally and for Gaelic Games in particular.
As you will appreciate, we need to receive further clarity on aspects of what was announced last evening but broadly speaking the following is what is proposed in the coming weeks:
From 10
th May – Outdoor training is permitted at adult level in pods of a maximum of 15 people (including coaches). However, games are not allowed and indoor facilities must remain closed.
From 7
th June (and subject to the Public Health situation at the time) – Club games will be permitted at all levels but must be played “behind closed doors”. ....
