London-based premium fried chicken brand Thunderbird is to launch its latest dark kitchen location today (21 January), which will mark its first venture into the suburbs of the capital.
The site in Croydon joins Battersea and Shoreditch as the Trispan-backed chain s third Food Stars kitchen, with delivery available via Deliveroo and UberEats.
Thunderbird s recently launched plant-based delivery-only brand, Jackfruit Junkie, will also delivery from the Croydon kitchen.
The vegan menu, which features burgers, jackfruit wings and sides, is all prepared on site in separate vegan fryers.
Burgers options include the Junkie , which features a jackfruit patty, vegan cheeze , hash browns, house-made chipotle mayo, pink pickled onions, lettuce and pickles; and the BBQ burger with fried onions, sweet and sticky barbecue sauce, ranch sauce, lettuce and pickles.
