Guinea man at heart of cluster published : 13 May 2021 at 04:00 10 A Covid-19 cluster of at least 137 cases has been traced back to an African gem trader who travelled between Chanthaburi and Bang Rak district of Bangkok and often attended religious gatherings, the government revealed yesterday. The cluster began with a Guinean trader s 21-year-old pregnant wife, also a citizen of Guinea, said Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration assistant spokeswoman Apisamai Srirangson. The woman had been asymptomatic during pregnancy and prenatal care but developed a fever shortly before giving birth on May 2 and tested positive soon after. Her 54-year-old husband was then tested and diagnosed with the disease on May 4. ....
