ALPENA ­– There’s really no reason to leave your house from Jan. 20 to 31, thanks to this year’s Thunder Bay International Film Festival.
The 9th annual TBIFF will not only feature national and international films about our oceans, but many free films about the Great Lakes, as well.
Offered exclusively online this year because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the festival begins Wednesday and runs through Jan. 31. More than 50 films are viewable from the comfort of your own home. ....

More than 50 films will be shown in the Thunder Bay International Film Festival, which starts Wednesday and runs through Jan. 31. The festival is virtual this year because of the pandemic.
To view all the films and sessions, purchase a Thunder Pass for $100. Otherwise, some films and multi-film programs are free, but many are $10 to $12 each and can be viewed any time between Wednesday and Jan. 31.

has partnered with the Gibson company to launch G², a joint venture that will feature the release of right-handed and left-handed electric guitars and basses, as well as offer new streamed entertainment content.
The name of the line, G², stands for from Gene to Gibson. The various instruments will be produced across Gibson s Gibson, Epiphone and Kramer brands.
Kicking off the collaboration will be the G² Thunderbird Bass, which will be released later this year. The instrument will be available in ebony-and-silver and ebony-and-blood red designs. Simmons gave the bass its worldwide debut when he played one onstage during KISS massive ....
