'Forever Marilyn' opponents threaten legal action against Palm Springs

With about six weeks to go until Forever Marilyn returns to downtown Palm Springs, opponents of the controversial statue s new location are threatening legal action in an attempt to push the city to consider an alternative location.
In December, Palm Springs finalized a three-year contract with local hotel association PS Resorts to install the statue in a new location on Museum Way, west of Belardo Road and east of Museum Drive. The statue s unveiling is scheduled for April 18.
The city plans to close Museum Way to vehicle traffic once the statue arrives. But, the Committee to Relocate Marilyn, helmed by designer Trina Turk and Chris Menrad ....
