May 25, 2021 : By Jacob Couch - Office of Communications & Public Engagement The Collingsworth Family This summer, The Collingsworth Family, a gospel music singing group from Ohio, will visit the Liberty University School of Music to film two live full-capacity concert DVD recordings on consecutive nights in the Center for Music and the Worship Arts Concert Hall. Both evenings’ concerts, set for Aug. 6 and 7, will feature School of Music students, alumni, and faculty who will make up the orchestra, conducted by award-winning Christian music composer and arranger Bradley Knight. “I am really excited to have The Collingsworth Family with us in August,” School of Music Dean Dr. Stephen Müller said. “Not only are they one of the leading groups in Southern Gospel music, but they are also great people. Phil and Kim (and family) have created a brand that is known in churches and in the music industry across the country.”

January 20, 2021 : By Ryan Klinker - Office of Communications & Public Engagement Liberty’s Provost and Chief Academic Officer Scott Hicks addresses faculty members in the new Liberty Arena Wednesday morning. Before in-person classes begin for residential students for the Spring 2021 semester on Jan. 25, Liberty University faculty gathered in the new Liberty Arena Wednesday morning for a reminder of what it means to be a Liberty professor and how they can impact students’ lives. Following a worship set led by School of Music Dean Dr. Stephen Müller, Liberty Acting President Jerry Prevo delivered a message of thankfulness to the faculty, who he said are the ones that can likely have the biggest impact on students’ lives while they’re at Liberty. He also encouraged them to continue helping students both in and out of the classroom, caring for them in life’s trials and helping them excel in their respective field.
