If the roadmap stays on track, April 12 will herald some joyous firsts in England. The first outdoor meet-up in your Rule of Six social circle (or between your household and another); the first pint or pub lunch (strictly outdoors, of course); the first overnight in a self-catering UK holiday rental.
But where to head first? Depending on your interests and intentions, our experts suggest.
For wild splendour (with handy facilities)
You ll want to meet somewhere lovely, of course – but also somewhere with good facilities, parking, food options and plenty of space. The following places all fit the bill.

A yellow warning for ice and snow is in place in Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland and Wales
Parts of the country have already had snowfall today and the warning will be in place until 6pm tonight
Roads have been closed, rail services delayed and in Gloucestershire, police urged residents not to go out
The snowfall comes after Storm Bella lashed the UK with high winds and heavy rain overnight on Boxing Day
The Met Office said a gust of wind had been recorded at speed of 106mph at the Needles on the Isle of Wight
Drivers were warned to avoid heading out unless it is vital today after three inches of snow caused chaos on Britain s roads and forced motorists to abandon their cars.

Clean up efforts continue after a weekend of deluge from Storm Bella saw winds of more than 100mph litter train tracks with fallen trees and other debris whilst homes and roads flooded.
South Western, Southeastern Railway and the London Overground were all forced cancel or delay services today whilst clean up operations took place to clear tracks of a chaotic combination of obstructions and flooding.
All trains between Bournemouth and Southampton Central were stopped due to water on the line, Great Western Railway said, and one of the major lines into London was also blocked when a tree fell onto the tracks in Haslemere, Surrey.
