Victoria will initially receive 11,000 doses of Pfizerâs vaccine every week to vaccinate 170,000 frontline workers including staff working in the stateâs troubled hotel quarantine system.
As the first doses of the vaccine landed in Australia, official confirmation of the number of doses Victoria would receive left healthcare workers fearing that they might have to wait months to get their jab.
However a public health expert says frontline workers will only wait a week or two as more doses arrive from overseas.
