Marshall County Community Foundation Announces Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Recipients | WTCA FM 106 1 and AM 1050 The Best, Music, News and Sports

One Marshall County student has been named recipient of a four-year, full tuition scholarship as the Marshall County Community Foundation 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar. Mark Bahr will receive not only full tuition to the Indiana college of his choice, but also a $900.00 yearly stipend for required books and equipment. Mark Bahris the son of Tim and Jackie Bahr, of Bremen, IN.  He attends Bremen Senior High School.  Mark is planning to attend Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and will major in either in business or accounting. The Lilly Scholarship Selection Committee, consisting of Beth Styers, Chair, Dr. Don Balka, Scott Joyner, Karen Schlosser, John Small Jr., Jared Weidner and Barbara Winters reviewed 31 applications and interviewed several applicants. In addition to full tuition to an accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana of their choice, the students will receive a $900 annual stipend for books and equipment.  December 16, 2020 (MITCHELL) – Abigail Embry, daughter of James and Robyn Embry, has been named the Lawrence County Community Foundation’s 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar. Abigail will receive a full-tuition scholarship to a four-year accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana, with an annual $900 stipend for required books. Abigail, a senior at Mitchell High School, plans to pursue post-secondary studies next fall in a medical or biology-related field, possibly nursing. She is undecided as to what college she will be attending, but has applied to Purdue University and the University of Southern Indiana, as well as several others. Seymour senior named 2021 Lilly scholar 12/15/20 8:08 PM A Jackson County student has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. Ellie Cornn, a senior at Seymour High School, was awarded the scholarship. She is the daughter of Holly and Bret Cornn of Seymour. Ellie’s career interests include health science, with an interest in pediatrics, physical therapy and nursing. This scholarship, funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. and administered locally by the Community Foundation of Jackson County, provides full tuition, required fees and a book stipend of up to $900 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study at any Indiana public or private college or university.
