Heartbroken sister mourns 'amazing and witty', Fermanagh man


THE heartbroken sister of the late Lewis Crawford has paid tribute to an amazing brother who was known for his great sense of humour and big heart.
Lewis (28) passed away peacefully at his home in Garvary, Enniskillen on June 17 following a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.
Describing Lewis as a cheeky chappy who was witty and full of one-liners, his older sister, Marnie Crawford – who he lived with – noted how he was also very caring by nature.
He was definitely cheeky, he got away with stuff that other people wouldn t have, she laughed, adding: He was very soft-hearted, especially for dogs. His dog, Charlie, was like his baby and never left his side. ....

Obituary: Mr. William 'Billy' David Crooke | Impartial Reporter


William David Crooke, known to all as Billy, passed away at the South West Acute Hospital on the night of April 12, 2021 after a sudden illness. He was 83 years old.
Billy was born on April 26, 1937, elder son of William Parke Crooke and Lily Crooke (nee Donaldson) of The Rocks, Blaney, Enniskillen. His younger brother George predeceased him in 2013. He is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Victoria (Kevin) and Jane (Daniel), and grandchildren Caoimhe, William, Caitlin and Charlotte.
Billy had a great love of sport and in his younger days was very active in both motor rallying and water skiing at competitive levels. He was an active member of Enniskillen Golf Club for over 40 years where he held the position of Captain in 2005. ....

Tributes paid to Fermanagh engineer Andrew 'Andy' Cochrane


Heartfelt tributes have been paid to respected engineer Andrew ‘Andy’ Cochrane. The 53-year old passed away suddenly from natural causes last week.
The grandfather of one died on Sunday, April 4, leaving his grieving family to mourn the much loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. The Fermanagh grandfather had only got to spend seven weeks with his first grandchild.
Tributes were led by his wife Hilary.
Speaking to this newspaper, Hilary said: “Andy was my best friend, my protector, my childhood sweetheart, we grew up together.”
The two grew up near each other outside Tempo and met at a High School disco, they got married on March 28, 1987 and were married for 34 years. The two built their home at Mullyknock, Tempo. ....
