Arcadia Man Charged With Controlled Substance Violation Following March 13 Incident

An Arcadia man wanted on an outstanding warrant for controlled substance violations has been taken into custody by the Carroll Police Department. According to Carroll County District Court records, 39-year-old Chad Alvin Prichard was arrested Wednesday, May 19 on the class B felony charge. The arrest stems from an incident during the early morning hours of March 13 in Carroll’s Northwest Park. Authorities say an officer approached Pritchard to investigate why he was in the park after hours, but he fled on foot when law enforcement approached. He was apprehended a short distance later in the 1400 block of Harriet Avenue. Over 18 grams of substance believed to be methamphetamine were located on his person and sent to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) laboratory. Test results confirmed the materials were narcotics. A class B felony in Iowa carries a maximum penalty of up to 25 years in prison. ....

Arcadia Man Arrested After Leading Carroll Officers On Foot Chase Early Saturday Morning

An Arcadia man was taken into custody early Saturday morning after leading Carroll Police on a foot chase. Officers were checking on a person who was in Northwest Park after posted hours, at approximately 4:38 a.m., when the subject, 39-year-old Chad Alvin Prichard, fled. Prichard was apprehended near 15
th and Harriet Avenue a short time later and arrested on a Greene County warrant. During his arrest, a substance believed to be methamphetamine was located. Further charges are pending results from the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) laboratory.
