The House of Commons Industry committee kicked off its study of competitiveness in Canada by hearing from experts and representatives of business groups. The broad-ranging study follows recent developments in the Canadian economy, including: the proposed purchase of Shaw by Rogers; the controversial decision by grocery chains to end pandemic pay; and the increased inequity caused by COVID-19 between small and big businesses. ....
