by Alistair Hardaker A communications and live event agency launched by 17-year-old publicist Oliver Hodgson has opened its first office in Whitehaven, Cumbria. Launched just over a year ago, Platinum Live now boasts clients including Whitehaven Rugby League, Xtreme Fitness, From The Fields and Bellcare. It will take residence at the Bus Station in Whitehaven, a former bus station building which has recently been transformed by BEC into a flexible office space. Barclays Eagle Labs is operating the business space within. Speaking of the move, founder and MD Hodgson (pictured) said: “I’m incredibly proud to have grown Platinum Live from my family home to an established premises in a little over a year, factoring in a global pandemic! ....
Whitehaven RLFC have appointed their first head of communications and external agency as the rugby club focuses on future growth and their post covid comeback. Oliver Hodgson and his agency Platinum Live have been appointed, Oliver said: “It’s fantastic to be working with Whitehaven RLFC as they look to refresh and develop their brand. We are focused on revitalising and modernising the clubs digital and traditional communication avenues. PR boss Oliver who is based in Gosforth with a vast range of pre-existing clients and experience said he hopes to transform the club’s digital presence. Oliver Hodgson is the young man behind Platinum Live, a live events and digital communications company with a primarily Lake District-based clientele. Oliver left school without any GCSEs at the age of 15 due to bullying. However, he has gone from strength to strength since then, registering Platinum Live as a limited company in March last year. Among his clients is the Kendal Calling music festival. And, in light of his own experiences, he is keen to stress that there are different routes to achieving goals and making a living. ....
