2020 Annual Report released


The 2020 University of Melbourne Annual Report has been tabled in State Parliament.
The University of Melbourne’s 2020 Annual Report was tabled in the Victorian Parliament on 4 May 2021. The Annual Report covers the period from 1 January to 31 December 2020.

The 2020 Annual Report showcases the many contributions made by the University’s community of researchers, academics, students, professional staff together with our partners in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and other global challenges.
The Annual Report shows the University recorded an underlying operating result of $8.6m, a drop of more than $65m compared to 2019. The main reason for the break even underlying result was a reduction in spending of approximately $360 million, offsetting a fall in revenue of $275 million and additional pandemic related costs including $60 million in student support grants. ....

The Bulls remain the only non-Springbok team in 16 matches since 1997 to beat the British & Irish Lions on African shores and have launched a commemorative jersey to buy.
Labelling the game the day the men in blue shook the rugby world might sound over the top, but it s actually highly appropriate.  
The Bulls of 1997 were a shambles, riddled with infighting and coaching drama, and were expected to deliver one glorious 80-minute round of rugby to trump their fancied opponents.

Caithness has a crisis in mental health and addiction issues “in the wake of ongoing incidents and deaths related to suicide and drug overdose”.
That is the assessment of Caithness Cares, which has been set up with Scottish Government funding as a pilot project that aims to tackle the issues.

Caithness Voluntary Group is open for business. We supported community groups throughout 2020 and we look forward to working with them again in 2021.
We work with groups covering a range of support including funding, policies and procedures, volunteering and governance.
