Litchfield apartment fire under investigation Hillsdale Daily News LITCHFIELD A male and a child were transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson after a fire broke out in their apartment Sunday afternoon in Litchfield. Litchfield Fire Chief Scott Skelly said the adult male had minor burns and paramedics transported the child for evaluation in case of smoke inhalation. Fire broke out in the upstairs apartment around 12:20 p.m. Sunday at 204 Southfield St. Skelly said all fire personnel cleared from the scene around 3 p.m. The Michigan State Police Fire Marshall Division was on site with Skelly Monday morning to investigate and determine what caused the fire. ....
