Harrison Kelly Joins Riverside Furniture as Vice President-Product Development

Casegoods supplier Riverside Furniture announced that Harrison Kelly, who has over 20 years of experience in wood furniture product development, has joined the company in the new position of Vice President of Product Development.

In his role, Kelly will be responsible for leading all product line activities from the conceptual stage through market introduction. In addition, he will work closely with strategic retail accounts in determining product needs.

Most recently, Kelly served in the same position for Klaussner Furniture International where he was responsible for all wood product development. Prior to joining Klaussner, he served in various positions at Home Meridian International, where he started as an import engineer at Pulaski and went on to hold roles such as Vice President of Club Merchandising for Home Meridian and ....

Vietnam has overtaken China as the largest furniture exporter to the U.S. as tariffs drive manufacturers out of the world’s second largest economy.
Vietnam exported $7.4 billion worth of furniture to the U.S. last year, compared to China’s $7.33 billion, according to data from U.S. magazine
Furniture Today. This marked a 31 percent year-on-year surge for Vietnam, while that of China fell 25 percent.
The shift has happened over the past two and a half years with the U.S. imposing tariffs as high as 25 percent on almost all furniture categories from China, pushing manufacturers to move out. ....

Casegoods resource Riverside Furniture announced that they have named Mike Shepard to the position of Vice President of Information Technology and Elisa Watson to the new position of Showroom Manager and Sales Operations Administrator.
Shepard was with Tempur Sealy for 11 years prior to joining Riverside in the position of Vice President of Information Services. “Mike is a classically-trained IT professional who worked his way up through the ranks from programming roles to senior leadership positions in IT,” said Beth Brown, chief operations officer and chief financial officer for Riverside. “Mike’s track record, acumen and strategic thinking has been proven through his implementations of successful IT solutions, designing systems and evaluating current and new technology needs,” Brown said. O Street is the main thoroughfare in a north Fort Smith working-class neighborhood of southeast Asian, Hispanic, Black and white residents. But it has some of the most prominent Vietnamese-owned businesses in Fort Smith, including those on the east end of the street that host events, gatherings and reunions for the Vietnamese community.
Now donning Saigon Street signs, O Street honors the history and contributions of Vietnamese who came to Fort Smith after the Vietnam War.
