There’s always so much to talk about when it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers. But the inquiries surrounding the black-and-gold are definitely ever-evolving, especially this week with the Steelers watching a future Hall of Famer retire, the courting of another and the 20th anniversary of the demolition of a legendary home. And Although I don t hate the name and fully understand the financial benefit teams receive when selling naming rights, I hate most corporate-named stadiums. To me, they disconnect from the teams that play there and from the identity of the city. Because of the history of the Heinz company with Pittsburgh, it works better than most. But the history of success of the Steelers at Three Rivers and the fact that a Stadium still sits on the unique confluence of the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers makes the name Three Rivers special and uniquely Pittsburgh. ....
