Humboldt County Public Health reported today that it has confirmed 74 new COVID-19 cases and three new hospitalizations since Friday. Humboldt County Public Health confirmed 29 new COVID-19 cases today making 125 so far this week. Today s cases which come after the county confirmed 84 new cases last week amid a recent surge in virus activity were confirmed after laboratories processed 186 samples with a test positivity rate of 15.6 percent. Statewide, the test-positivity rate over the past seven days sits at 4.1 percent the highest since February which is dwarfed by the local rate of 14 percent over the same period.
