The parents of Bowling Green State University student Stone Foltz have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against a fraternity and some of its members over his alleged hazing death.
The civil lawsuit was filed in Franklin County Common Pleas on Tuesday.
“By filing a civil complaint on behalf of Stone Foltz and the Foltz family, we are doing what is necessary to hold the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity, the local fraternity chapter, and individuals accountable for their behavior that led to Stone Foltz’s death, attorney Rex Elliot said. ....

Foltz family files wrongful death suit in Franklin County

COLUMBUS The law firm representing the family of Stone Foltz has filed a civil lawsuit in Franklin County.
Cooper Elliott, who represents the Foltz family, on Tuesday filed a civil complaint in Franklin County Common Pleas Court seeking damages for the wrongful death of Foltz.
Foltz, a sophomore at the Bowling Green State University, died in March from alcohol poisoning after excessive drinking, allegedly at an off-campus fraternity event. He was a 2019 Buckeye Valley High School graduate.
The family is asking for minimum compensatory damages of $25,000 for each claim; however, the family will seek a judgment substantially more at trial. ....

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio The family of Stone Foltz filed a wrongful death lawsuit Tuesday in Franklin County Court against the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity, Delta Beta chapter of the fraternity at Bowling Green State University and 20 individuals.
Foltz died in March after an alcohol-related hazing incident. According to the lawsuit, his family says he was forced to drink the equivalent of 40 shots of liquor in less than 20 minutes and was left for dead by his fraternity brothers.
