Lake Nighthorse is located in Durango, Colorado, and stores Animas-La Plata water for various entities, including the San Juan Water Commission. The City of Farmington initially requested a possible release from the reservoir as a way to test the water delivery from Lake Nighthorse to entities in San Juan County. The City of Aztec has expressed interest in also taking some of the water released if it does occur. Mar 5, 2021 4:31 PM DeLand, FL - A Volusia Sheriff s deputy arrested and charged with DUI in March 2020 was arrested and charged again early this morning. The Volusia Sheriff s Office says the deputy, 34-year-old Aaron Chavez, was pulled over by a DeLand police officer shortly before 2 a.m. after the officer witnessed his truck traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of International Speedway Boulevard. The DPD officer initiated a traffic stop and followed Chavez as he ran a red light, made a left turn on Woodland Boulevard, swerved, and pulled over for the traffic stop. His incident report stated that he noticed a smell of alcohol and noted that Chavez’s eyes were glassy and his speech slurred. Chavez was taken into custody without incident on charges of DUI and refusal to submit to DUI testing, and he was cited for traveling on the wrong side of the roadway, failure to stop at a red light, and violation of driver’s license restrictions (allowing drivin ....
