Mar 5, 2021 4:31 PM DeLand, FL - A Volusia Sheriff s deputy arrested and charged with DUI in March 2020 was arrested and charged again early this morning. The Volusia Sheriff s Office says the deputy, 34-year-old Aaron Chavez, was pulled over by a DeLand police officer shortly before 2 a.m. after the officer witnessed his truck traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of International Speedway Boulevard. The DPD officer initiated a traffic stop and followed Chavez as he ran a red light, made a left turn on Woodland Boulevard, swerved, and pulled over for the traffic stop.
