HawkeyeReport - Aaron Graves makes his official visit to Iowa

In-state defensive lineman Aaron Graves, who was Iowa s first commit in the Class of 2022, finally had a chance to make his official visit with the Hawkeyes this weekend. For the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Graves, it was nice to get back on campus and see everyone in person again, including new strength coach Raimond Braithwaite. Visiting with the players and recruits was such a good time, said Graves. Just being around them this weekend I had a blast. Also, I really loved talking to Coach Braithwaite as well because I love the weight room. Graves, who committed to Iowa two years ago after earning an offer at camp his freshman year, was able to spend a lot of time around the current players this weekend.

It was all very nice and I was very impressed. Also, meeting with the academic people for breakfast was great because obviously education is very

Caden Crawford Checks out K-State, Looking Forward to Iowa Visit

Before June 1, high school football recruits spent 15 months unable to meet face-to-face with college coaches or receive campus tours. The unprecedented dead period brought on by the pandemic forced them into building relationships virtually.  Caden Crawford felt strongly enough about the bond built with Iowa that he verbally committed to the Big Ten program in February. He visited Kinnick Stadium for a spring practice in April, but, again, couldn t meet with coaches or tour facilities.  The Lansing (KS) High defensive end remains committed to the Hawkeyes heading into his official visit on June 25. He believes it will confirm his feelings about them.
