A Woodstock yoga studio facing another summer of pandemic restrictions had the city’s fee waived for use of a city park for outdoor yoga classes, something councillors say was a small show of support for struggling businesses.
Katherine deBoer, co-owner of Radiant Health Yoga in downtown Woodstock, wrote to council last week to ask for relief from the city’s permit fee for use of Roth Park up to four times per week, citing the impact of pandemic restrictions on her studio.

A Woodstock woman has created a new GoFundMe campaign to help three city businesses struggling during the latest COVID-19 lockdown.
Jen de Wit launched the GoFundMe on Thursday, with the aim of raising $9,000 for Salon Sixty Spa, Finkle Street Tap and Grill and Radiant Health Yoga.

“I had met (the owner of Salon Sixty Spa) during the summer, and we were just chatting about how the lockdowns had affected her business, and I contacted her and said ‘I’m thinking about you; how can I help?’ It started the ball rolling,” de Wit said.
