False propaganda has delayed Sinopharm vaccine Daily News (via HT Media Ltd.) Health State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana stated that a political group working against the Chinese vaccine has spread false propaganda among the people. He said the World Health Organization (WHO) does not approve vaccinations but lists them according to the data available for vaccinations. Due to the false propaganda carried out by these groups, members of expert committees studying this vaccine in Sri Lanka have been discouraged and as a result there has been a delay in administering the Chinese vaccine to Sri Lankans. He said that Sri Lanka had received 600,000 vaccines from the Chinese government at the request of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and only Chinese nationals in Sri Lanka have been approved to be vaccinated. ....
