JAMMU, July 21: Although it was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cover around one crore people of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, registrations under SEHAT (Social, Endeavour for Health and Telemedicine) Scheme have stagnated at around 55 lakh for want of intensive campaign by the Health and Medical Education Department.
This came to the fore during a meeting held under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently and accordingly necessary directions have been issued to the Health and Medical Education Department so that left-over population is covered under the scheme as early as possible. ....

Rotary Club of Gauhati South organised a Covid-19 Vaccination Centre from 21st May 2021 onwards at Bhetapara Durga Mandir premises in collaboration with with Bhetapara Durga MandirUnnayan Samiti for 18 to 44 yrs. age group with vaccination received from State Health Deptt. Vaccination program started at 9.30 am today for beneficiaries who registered with Co-win.gov.in portal.
Till closure of camp at 1.30 pm, a total of 200 benefiaries were vaccinated successfully. Lead of the camp was taken by Rtn. Rajkamal Bhuyan, past President of the Rotary Club with the help of Dr Anil Mahanta, Dr Rabin Mazumdar, Rajesh Batra & Akbar Musrikin of the same club. Senior Pathologist Dr Anuradha Choudhury was present as Medical supervisor. ....

Srinagar, Jan 24: The Health services in Jammu and Kashmir have suffered for the last over a year due to lack of coordination between Health Department and Mediciti Healthcare Services Pvt Limited which has a five years contract for servicing bio medical equipment in Government hospitals in J&K.
The company has sent a bill of over Rs 18 crore for servicing the bio-medical equipment at various Government hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir and the Health Department has failed to clear the bills but has given an on account amount of around Rs 4 crore to the company. The bills, as per the health officials, are being delayed as the company has failed to provide up to the mark services. ....

JAMMU, Jan 12: Former minister and JKNPP chairman, Harsh Dev Singh today said that despite a highly discriminatory Industrial package having been announced by the Govt of India recently, it is shocking that none of the senior leaders of BJP have responded till date to the public outcries against the alleged prejudicial treatment to Jammu region.
Talking to media-persons here today, Singh said that is has been reported in media that out of 70 Industrial Estates sanctioned for J&K UT, 46 are allocated for Kashmir Division and merely 24 fall in the kitty of the marginalized Jammu region. The proposed distribution being highly biased and objectionable. He said that Panthers Party seeks a fair deal for Jammu region with equal share in the said industrial package so announced by the GoI. ....
