Healthy Lincoln County, a nonprofit community-based organization, is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Maine Department of Agriculture as an approved site for an Americorps VISTA Food Security Coordinator position. This position is part of Maine’s commitment to be hunger-free by 2030. The VISTA coordinator will help build the capacity of Healthy Lincoln County’s food security system by strengthening partnerships with 15+ local food security efforts through increased efficiencies and coordination.
The VISTA member will be a one-year paid position, beginning in April. The VISTA member will help identify present and ongoing needs and opportunities for improving coordination and community-based efforts to close the meal gap in Lincoln County.
