CDA takes action against housing societies Islamabad December 21, 2020 Islamabad : The Capital Development Authority (CDA) decided to strictly ask the owners of housing societies and schemes to implement CDA and ICT Zoning Regulation. Offices of a number of illegal housing schemes and societies have been sealed. According to detail, Islamabad was divided into 5 zones according to ICT Zoning Regulation of 1992. Under zoning regulation, the planning and development for housing schemes can be done in the E-11 sector of Zone 1, an official of CDA said. Similarly, the work can also be done in Zone 2 and 5. CDA amended the zoning regulation in 2010 and allowed the Housing scheme and Agro farm scheme in Zone 4. Zone 4 was further divided into 4 sub-zones. ....

CDA to Penalize Housing Schemes by Enforcing Zoning Regulations in Islamabad After sealing a number of illegal housing societies in Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to enforce the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Zoning Regulations of 1992. The authority has issued a notification to the owners of housing societies and schemes in this regard, directing them to follow the prescribed regulations before starting a housing scheme. ALSO READ Earlier in October, the CDA had sealed the offices of nine housing societies to discourage the establishment of illegal housing projects. The sealed housing schemes include Ayesha Town, the Islamabad Cooperative Housing Scheme, Gulf Residencia, Royal City, Royal Residencia, Dreamland City, Babar Enclave, Ideal Residencia, Rawal Enclave, and the Yar Muhammad Society. ....
