The Trinidad and Tobago Guardian is the longest running daily newspaper in the country, marking its centenary in 2017. The paper started life as the Trinidad Guardian on Sunday 2nd September 1917 by the newly formed Trinidad Publishing Company Limited.

Trinidad and Tobago rower Felice Aisha Chow won the D finals of the women s single sculls at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, last night. Wint the win, she finished 19th overall.

Trinidad and Tobago rower Felice Aisha Chow has won the D Final of the Women’s Single Sculls at the Tokyo Olympics.
The race was not a medal race but instead determined the ranks from position number 19 downwards.
She won in a time of 7.48.06 minutes over 2000 metres.

TRINIDAD and Tobago s Felice Aisha Chow will not advance to the women s single sculls semi-finals at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan after placing fifth in her quarterfinal heat on Saturday night (TT time).
The 44-year-old rower competed in heat three, clocking a time of 8:21:23.
Austria s Magdalena Lobnig won the race with a time of 7:58:20, followed by the Netherlands Anna Souwer (7:59:92), Greece s Anneta Kyridou (8:09:19) and Belarus Tatsiana Klimovich (8:09:04). Puerto Rico s Veronica Toro Arana placed sixth with a time of 8:35:32.
