TINY tots born during lockdown are finally getting a taste of the outside world thanks to a local mental health charity. Babies who arrived during the pandemic are at last getting the opportunity to socialise with other children as part of Mind Mosaic Child & Family Therapies pioneering Wee Minds group. The charity based at Pottery Street established the new group to provide parents with an opportunity to socialise and build relationships. The group kicked off in November only for the second lockdown to follow almost immediately. Mind Mosaic s director of children s services, Sandra Boyle, says she is delighted to get things going after that false start. ....

The staff is friendly, and a room is a fraction of the price of many charmless identikit hotel chains. The decor is colourful and there’s a spacious communal kitchen. The views from the hostel over the hills and mountains are bound to tempt you out for a hike, or any number of outdoor activities on offer in the area. Owner Amy McIntyre says she was inspired by some of the beautiful hostels she found on her travels in Asia and wanted to bring “affordable luxury” to the UK. ....
Memorial benches trashed after Rangers title celebrations MEMORIAL benches which feature the names of Glasgow residents who have died were damaged during Rangers fans Scottish Premiership title celebrations in George Square last might. Pictures show damage to several memorial benches, placed by families to remember loved ones lost. Some were tipped over with others showing split wood. Supporters of the Ibrox club took to the square yesterday to celebrate the club’s first title win in ten years, but have been condemned after leaving a trail of destruction. Video footage from the scene appears to show people jumping on the bench and some have been emblazoned with stickers appearing to be from Rangers fan group Union Bears. ....
