Former Make-a-Wish CEO Arrested for Stealing Money for Sick Children From Charity


The former head of a charity for sick children has been arrested on three felony charges, accusing her of embezzling tens of thousands of dollars from the Make-A-Wish charity, which is a charity known to support sick children. This was confirmed by the group on Friday, according to Des Moines Register report.
Jennifer Woodley, 40, was held in custody at the Polk County Jail in Des Moines on Thursday two counts of first-degree theft. She was also arrested for unauthorized use of a credit card. Woodley was the released on bond. This was according to criminal complaints documents unsealed on Friday. ....

Make-A-Wish CEO stunned when busted STEALING MONEY FOR SICK CHILDREN


The former head of a charity for sick children is accused of embezzling tens of thousands of dollars, the Associated Press reports.
Jennifer Woodley, 40, is charged with two counts of first-degree theft and unauthorized use of a credit card.
After becoming CEO of Make-A-Wish Iowa in August 2019, Woodley allegedly gave herself a $10,000 bonus that the charity’s board of directors had not approved, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the AP.
The unauthorized bonus ultimately cost the group $15,540.
Woodley is also accused of spending more than $23,000 on 84 unauthorized purchases with the organization’s credit card for her personal use. She did not reimburse the organization for the purchases, which occurred over 10 months. ....
